Amy Smart stars as Melissa, who marries Chinese-American Yul (Tim Chiou) and heads to China for her honeymoon. But unbeknownst to the newly-weds, they have arrived on the Night of the Seventh Moon, when according to ancient legend the dead are freed to walk among the living.
Melissa and Yul attend the exotic "Hungry Ghost" festival that honours these spirits - but as night falls, they find themselves abandoned in a remote village and soon realise that the legend is all too real.
