Starkiller, Darth Vaders förrymda lärling, fortsätter att ljussabla sig genom galaxen. Han fostrades för att utföra ett enda, nästan omöjligt uppdrag: att mörda Kejsaren. Han tjänade lydigt sin herre, tills han en dag föll handlöst för den snygga stridspiloten Juno Eclipse. Tills nu har Juno trott att Starkiller är död, men han har återvänt, utan minnen och närmare knuten till Darth Vader än någonsin. Kan han bryta sig loss en andra gång?
