Efter en ekologisk katastrof har industrisamhället gått under och jorden är täckt av en giftig svampskog. Den unga prinsessan Nausicaä och hennes vänner försöker desperat att medla mellan olika kungariken som slåss om jordens sista naturresurser. Detta är en fullkomligt mästerlig manga och tog 12 år för Miyazaki att teckna, vilket märks på historien och de detaljrika bilderna. Nausicaä kan inte rekommenderas tillräckligt mycket!
