Årets Hugonomineringar är här
Hugopriset eller Science Fiction Achievement Award, startade som ett pris inom science fiction-litteraturen, utdelat första gången 1953. Nu för tiden är det breddat till fantastiken, och rymmer fantasy, skräck och annan spektakulär litteratur och även andra medium än ltteratur, som illustrationer, poddar och annat. Namnet kommer från Hugo Gernsback, grundaren av science fiction-novelltidningen Amazing Stories. Tävlingen avgörs årligen på Worldcon.
I år hålls Worldcon, årets största fantasy- och SF-kongress, i Chengdu. 9 augusti går ett femdagarsprogram späckat med paneler, intervjuer, läsningar, bokcirklar osv igång, med maskerader och prisutdelningar på kvällarna. Är man intresserad, kan man köpa medlemskap på deras hemsida, och och det är alltså medlemmarna som som lägger slutrösterna för vem som skrivit årets bästa roman eller novell, vilken SF-film som varit bäst, vilken illustratör som förtjänat en hyllning etc. Om du är sugen på at rösta har du till 30 september på dig.
Här nedanför är listan på de största kategorierna, och några av våra favorit går att hitta bland namnen, som Silvia Moreno-Garcia, T. Kingfisher och John Scalzi, men generellt kan man säga att allt som nomineras kommer att hålla väldigt hög kvalitet och vara värt att kolals upp.
